The neurotransmitter of today – claimed to be a critical part of the reward circuit in mammal brains.

It also has a less glamorous role in half a dozen important physiological processes, including intestinal motility (moving products of digestion along the way), the blood cell responses to immunity, Parkinson’s disease, ADHD and schizophrenia.

Dopamine has created a lot of problems in my life. The reward seeking part of the behaviour associated with dopamine has hit me hard through my adult life.

I am tired and sick of it.

Right now I am running an experiment on myself -I am trying to control my addiction to dopamine-seeking behaviors.

It seems to be working.
